At your request, a panga boat captain will pick you up on the beach right in front of the house for a jaunt across the bay to Isla Coronado and Isla del Carmen. Sea turtles bob in the warm inviting waters, and you may spot a school of rays just under the surface. Dolphins are also frequently spotted, the tropical fish varieties are spectacular and the islands beaches, particularly the crescent shaped, white sand inlet on Coronado, must be seen to be believed. Your Instagram feed will thank you.

For adventure seekers wanting to explore the further islands, we recommend taking a catamaran for a truly memorable day island hopping in the Sea of Cortez. Depart from Puerto Escondido a 15 minute drive south, and prepare for a spectacular day exploring Isla Danzante, Isla Monserrat and Isla Santa Catalina. Beach picnic lunch is included, message us for more information on how to book this very special experience.

Misión de Nuestra Señora de Loreto Conchó, Mission Loreto, was founded on October 25, 1697.

Enjoy touring this site in the charming and picturesque town.

  • Hands down, the finest diving and snorkeling on Earth.
  • Take a tour of the Mission De Loreto (the first California mission) or see whales from horseback riding, guided tours of the Mission de Loreto (the first California mission), etc.
  • Four stand-up paddleboards are available for use right outside of the house at Joya Del Mar. Hundreds of thousands of colourful tropical fish congregate around the rocks.

Enjoy long walks on the beach starting with your private beach access, or scan for tropical fish, rays, sea turtles and dolphins as you cruise one of the house’s four stand up paddle boards. Snorkeling and diving here are world class, either right out in front of the house or off a panga or catamaran along the islands off shore. Seasonally, tours are available to view blue whales, whale sharks and even orcas out in the deeper water.                           Fishermen can enjoy a day out and expect to land a dorado or other seasonal fish, local restaurants offer preparations of your catch or let us bring in a chef to prepare in house for you.
